How to extract Hardware ID from Windows 10 Laptop/Desktop for Windows Autopilot
Extracting and uploaded hardware information from Windows 10 device is one of the key requirements for the Windows Autopilot Self Deployment scenario. Hardware ID information can be uploaded by your OEM but in case of local IT wants to do it by themselves, it would be time-consuming since it required an admin to enter PowerShell into each laptop and generate the CSV file for Intune portal.
Capture Hardware Hash PowerShell from Microsoft:
| md c:\\HWID
Set-Location c:\\HWID Set-ExecutionPolicy -Scope Process -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Install-Script -Name Get-WindowsAutoPilotInfo Get-WindowsAutoPilotInfo.ps1 -OutputFile AutoPilotHWID.csv |

Can we extract Hardware Hash with less or no code?
I have customized the script and made a bat file that can run the code and generate the hardware hash into USB key.
You can download the code from Github, link given below:
https://github.com/hariomjindalau/WindowsAutopilot-HardwareID
Running the bat file is very simple and just follow the steps given below:
- Download the HWIDLAPTOP.ZIP
- Extract HWIDLAPTOP into USB
- Connect the USB into subjected Windows 10 Laptop/Desktop
- If Windows 10 is still in the install phase and you are on the country selection page, press SHIFT + F10
- The command prompt will open.
- Go to D:\
- CD HWIDLAPTOP
- Type info.bat and press Enter
- Code will execute and csv file will be created into HWIDLAPTOP folder.
- Un-mount the USB and you can upload this file into Intune Portal for Autopilot
