In today’s highly competitive world, the success of any organization depends on how well its members work together. But as remote work and spread-out teams have become more common, staying connected and working with co-workers has become harder. The new Microsoft Teams release in a more competitive version will help with these problems.

Microsoft Teams has been transformed from the ground up, with a new focus on speed and performance to make it easier for people to work together in a modern workplace. The new Microsoft Teams makes switching between chats, meetings, apps and accounts easy. This helps you stay in the zone. When everything you need is in one place, you and your team can focus on what is most important.

Microsoft has simplified the user experience and made finding everything in one location more convenient. This redesign also serves as the basis for ground-breaking new AI-powered features like Copilot for Microsoft Teams, which was recently announced. Although Microsoft has continuously improved the current Teams apps, the most significant advancements will only be available in the new Teams.

The new Microsoft Teams – Smarter, Faster, Easier, and More Flexible.

Microsoft Teams has been greatly improved by adding smarter features, making it run faster, and giving it more options. These changes make it easier to work together and talk to each other, save time, and fit different ways of working. So, Teams is expected to change how teams work together and make working remotely Smarter, Faster, Easier, and More Flexible.

Faster

Microsoft has invested heavily in rebuilding the Microsoft Teams platform to make it faster and better. The goal is to make it twice as quickly and use half as many system resources as before. To reach this goal, the company has built a better data, network, chat, and video architecture from the ground up. Even though the new Teams could be faster, even the preview build for the public has shown promising results. Microsoft worked with the independent benchmarking firm GigaOm to measure these performance improvements. GigaOm reported that the time it takes to launch an app or join a meeting has already been cut in half, and the amount of memory used has dropped by 50% when comparing the new Teams preview to the old Teams version.

Simpler

Microsoft (we also, as a solutions partner) are always looking for ways to give our users, who come from many different places and are growing, a simpler, more feature-rich experience. This is why we are so excited to announce changes to the core Teams experience that will make managing notifications easier, organising messages and channels, and finding information with fewer clicks. Please look at our resources for more information about how the new Teams experience was made.

Better flexible

As we all know, many of our customers have businesses that span multiple tenants and accounts. For example, many customers work with people from different organisations, which may mean they must use Teams across multiple tenants or accounts. Because of this, Microsoft has put a lot of money into supporting these scenarios. We have made improvements to our authentication model, synchronisation, and notification systems so that your experience will be smooth and consistent. Users no longer have to sign in and out of different accounts and tenants. Instead, they can stay signed into them and get notifications no matter the active version.

Microsoft has just started to scratch the surface of what AI can do in Teams, and there is a lot more to come. The new Microsoft Teams will be the foundation for next-generation AI experiences, like the intelligent recap and Copilot for Microsoft Teams that have already been announced. Microsoft wants to use AI to make it easier for people to work together by keeping people up to date on previous conversations before they join a meeting or chat and answering their questions without interrupting the conversation.

Later in 2023, Microsoft plans to make the new Teams available to everyone. In the meantime, they are encouraging commercial Windows users to try out the public preview, which is being rolled out today. Later this year, the preview release will also be made available to more people, including Mac users. Users in the Public Preview program will be able to use the new Teams immediately, but commercial users will need an admin to opt-in before using them. After that, users can easily switch to the new Teams or return to the old Teams at any time by toggling.
